VoLTE from Nepal Telecom is now available on iPhones. When Ntc Volte first launched on May 17, it was initially incompatible with Apple devices.
Although a small number of Ntc subscribers had VoLTE enabled on their iPhones, they experienced an SMS issue while using the service.
NTC had written to Apple CEO Tim Cook, requesting that the problem be resolved. In response, the CEO referred it to a group of experts.
The settlement has came earlier than planned, thanks to the Apple CEO’s direct engagement. NTC’s Managing Director, Dilliram Adhikari, announced VoLTE support for iPhones over Twitter.
Nepal Telecom, a state-owned company, released VoLTE in May with support for a limited number of phones. Now, the business is working with phone manufacturers, the National Telecommunications Authority, and other stakeholders to make high-quality Voice over LTE services available to as many NTC subscribers as possible.
Prior to the debut of VoLTE, NTC only enabled data to be sent over the fourth-generation network, and while making calls, the network would revert to 3G or 2G. With the introduction of VoLTE, consumers may now make next-generation phone calls on 4G without having to switch to 3G or 2G.
Prerequisites for your iPhone
Please note that your iPhone model must be higher than iPhone 6 before going through the activation process. As a result, the Ntc Volte service is supported by all Apple phones from the iPhone 6 to the iPhone 12 series.
Similarly, check sure your phone is running the most recent version of iOS. If it isn’t already updated, do so now.
- Check if your phone is above iPhone 6.
- Update your iPhone to the latest iOS.
- Put your phone in 4G/LTE mode.
How To Activate Nepal Telecom VoLTE on iPhone?
- To activate NTC’s VoLTE on iPhones, just dial *444# and enter 2.
- Then click on ‘VoLTE calls’ on your call setting. Go to Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular data options -> Voice & Data -> Select LTE Mode and then turn VoLTE on.
- Now call 1444 IVR to get free Volte calls for the first time only. If you can proceed with this, then confirms that your iPhone is fully capable of VoLTE service.
As with other devices, dialing *111# or calling 1444 will enable 100 minutes of free voice calls to the users as part of VoLTE promotion. To check the remaining minutes of your free Volte calls, you need to dial *1415*55# which will show the available resources of the packages on your mobile.
There are also certain other requirements that your iPhones must meet, as mentioned above. The device must be 4G capable, which most of them are, and must be set to 4G mode with a 4G supported NTC SIM.
Both the caller and the receiver must be on VoLTE for a better VoLTE call experience.
