Over the past decades, immigration to developed countries like the USA and Australia from Nepal has surged, reaching its peak at this point. During this time, the country’s corruption and government instability have fluctuated, generally increasing. In villages and rural areas, there is a noticeable scarcity of youths, and this trend is gradually spreading.
Furthermore, the remaining youth here are increasingly becoming entangled in drug addiction and other dreadful habits that need not be mentioned. While there are more dark sides and challenging situations, mentioning them all leaves me demotivated.
Despite the challenges, we can’t ignore the limited progress and positive developments we’ve experienced in the past few decades. However, I fear that while many countries progress towards more advancement and sophistication in the next twenty-five years, Nepal may fall behind, potentially stagnating or facing worsening situations, failing to keep up with other competitive nations. What are your thoughts on our situation in 25 years?
maybe we’ll be around 100 billion GDP. Tourism sector will be booming. Professional Agriculture and independence on that sector too. Cement, Steel we’re already exporting, we’ll do much more by then. Electricity powerhouse of asia, bangladesh and aru country sanga direct deals. IT hub too, outsourcing kaam haru tanna hunxa. not tomorrow tho, in next 30 years.
edit : road connectivity will grow immensely in next 25 years too. last 15 year mai roadways have taken a great leap, next 25 years maa you probably can reach namche bazar or other great tourist destinations in your motorbike.
If this emigration + low fertility rate trend continues, Bhutan and Nepal both South Asian countries will together become a touristic ghost town.

nepal will peak its population in 30 years, probably it will elevate to middle income country but then economic stagnation forever.
One simple answer: Nepal will remain same as of now because looking back 25 years where are we? Introduction to new technologies is only thing that has happened cuz it is mendatory for existence.
Nepal will always lag behind on each and every terms and comparatively remain in the same position.

Whether its US or India, people are complaining about the same stuff corruption and this government that government lol. Drug addiction is problematic there as well. Employment opportunities and facilities there are obviously more in other countries. If you can then go abroad, explore. World is more open that it ever was. Its also about satisfaction, there are people here who are more than happy just being a teacher with 5 digits salary and travelling once a year.

Inflation in Nepal will continue to go up. The cherished cultural tradition and purity will continue to decline. The primary source of money in Nepal will be increasing influx of money from overseas.
Familial unity will continue to devolve. More and more people will get married only to divorce and run off with the divorce settlement. More and more Nepali people will adopt all the bad aspects of western culture while adopting none of the positives. The West is starting to realize their flaws, and trending towards more traditional family roles while Nepal is losing its own moral values.
Corruption will only get worse as more and more of these corrupted politicians will rail road themselves over the truly ethical leaders.
Tourism will decline as more and more countries lose faith in Nepal, and feel less safe in this country as more planes crash and more foreign people lose their lives here.
It’s a fucking shit show that’ll keep getting worse. God help us all.
Hopefully all the fossils in the politics are dead. Slow but steady improvement on infrastructure. Young people who are tired of this crap but still stayed in the country get in power. Proper road connection to most part of the country.
Country would still be developing but with the inventions of newer technologies should be taking bigger strides in development.
I see a lot of posts about brain drain but I don’t think that will be the case. The west is rethinking globalization and if the emotional conservatives win, they will effectively discourage easy migration to the west. That will put a break on a lot of developing countries to rethink their policies on selling their youths. This is on top of the biggest unknown factor or AGI and how people will use it. I for one think there is a not so bleak future for Nepal.

The population of Yadav has grown from 1% in 1990 to 6% in 2020. This means, there will be a huge influence of Akhilesh Yadavs and Lalu Yadavs men in the near future. hmmm.. okay let me tell you something i play lots of simulator game. and in all the games there is one problem if i don’t have industry there won’t be any jobs thus population will start to depelete no matter how much new facility i bring it over to the games. okay many people have pointed out about tourism but the thing is tourism as a main source of income for a country is just disastor waiting to be happening.
sooo unless we can bring companies from abroad to establish there bases over here while creating job opportunity and all. we can’t grow. cuz many nepali so called enterprenuer are just copying from other. there is no innovation at all.
to be exact i once talked to a fashion student pass out. his/her oppinion about creating a new design was just to copy out of internet. now you may say about the shops and all. its just daily necessary things. jobs can be created yes. but it is entirely depended upon the economy of this country.
solution as to what as of our country nepal can do is to first train diplomats. so we can bring chinese company or indian company or us company to establish there bases in nepal. so we can learn from there tech and work ethics. thus improving our man power. also there should be new state wide sponsor for r&d projects for our tech savvy or science savvy people. also regarding tourism. i really don’t favour it because of the folllowing.
– we need proper transport and all as well as facility, which we lack greatly.

My prediction: in about 50 years due to degradation of the environment all these so called developed nations will run out of resources. You know the actual resources like food and water. Then they will target carbon negative countries like Nepal and Bhutan and will attack us in whatever pretext they can make up to take up our resources like they did in the Middle East. So we might land up being another Iraq or Palestine

Our time will come when the world starts running on electricity.
Nepal will be Nepal it will grow at the same rate but still be one of the poorest and underdeveloped countires, country with most: corruption, less illiteracy, laziest people always thinking others will come and save them and doing nothing.
Lot of foreigners will come because of its natural beauty and cheap lifestyle & to cater them lot of Nepali girls and women will become strippers and prostitutes and men their agents.
Because of geopolitics between India China US and Western allies, nobody will do anything to make it stable thus no industry or businesses will survive which can provide employment. All the rivers will be captured by Indians and we will still be काकाकुल .
There will be few richest people who will still take control of tge country and majority poor people’s young generation will try to move elsewhere.
The future is dark, but I’m hopeful and be happy to live and die in my country.
Talking about general social aspect. Marriages are going to decline for sure and population too with that. Live-in realtionships will be normalized. More people are going to suffer from physical health issues like obesity, pain etc. because apart from few people who exercise, whole of youth gonna suffer from these issues since currently youths mostly don’t like to walk much either and take a bike or scooty everywhere.
