Clubhouse, the newest social network app, will soon be rectifying the one major complaint that users have had with it: its inconvenient invite-only system. According to the new beta version of the app, users will now be able to connect their Instagram and Twitter accounts to their profiles.
According to Mashable, the developers have also released improvements that make it simple to follow speakers and learn about forthcoming events on a Club page.
Furthermore, developers have stated that the app would be made available to the public “sometime this summer,” implying that users may be able to join the platform without needing an invite.
According to the patch notes for the most recent Android beta release, Clubhouse members can link their Instagram and Twitter accounts to their Clubhouse profile, allowing people to “get to know you better, follow your other accounts, and DM you (if your IG/ Twitter settings allow it).”
Those with Beta access can go to their profiles and touch 216;Add Twitter’ or ‘Add Instagram’ to add the account link.
Users of Clubhouse’s Android app can now follow people and clubs directly from their Room. If a user is in a Room and enjoys the debate or a particular speaker, they may instantly follow them by hitting the ‘Follow button’ at the bottom of the screen in the Room.
Users will also have simpler access to additional events hosted by a specific Club. “Just go to the Club page and you’ll see all its forthcoming activities and be able to navigate through them if there are more than one,” the instructions explained. Taking a cue from YouTube, there is also a bell icon that can be used to receive notifications when a specific event is about to begin.
