After requesting for the dissolution of parliament from the lawyers on behalf of Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, senior advocate Raman Kumar Shrestha opened the reply discussion in the constitutional bench on Sunday.
Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana and Justices Dilip Kumar Karki, Meera Khadka, Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada, and Dr Aananda Mohan Bhattarai make up the Constitutional bench.
Other senior counsel Shambhu Thapa and Badri Bahadur Karki are slated to offer their counterarguments after senior advocate Dahal. Two hours remained in the three-hour time limit set for the reply discussion for the advocates to offer their counterarguments.
Senior attorneys Raghav Lal Baidya and Usha Malla of the Nepal Bar Association and senior advocate duo Komal Prasad Ghimire and Prakash Bahadur KC of the Supreme Bar Association make up the Amicus Curiae.
After the reply discussion, the Amicus Curiae will have its turn, during which its members will present their perspectives on the issues in an objective manner in order to aid the court in reaching a fair conclusion.
