Before hosting the party’s apex body meeting, the Standing Committee of the CPN (Maoist Center) resolved to hold its Central Committee meeting on August 14 and to send a circular to notify ward committees around the country.
The summit also determined to finish the task of providing the Cabinet a full shape as soon as as and handle the ruling alliance’s work properly, according to Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the party’s spokesperson.
Tomorrow, he said, the SC committee would convene to finalise the names of the party leaders who would be inducted into the Council of Ministers.
According to a Maoist official, party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ would meet with leaders of the other political parties in the ruling coalition to discuss Cabinet expansion.
The meeting also voted to press for the truth to be made public concerning the Tuin incident in Darchula district, in which a person has been missing for three days.
Meanwhile, Maoist Chair Prachanda met with senior CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal to discuss the Cabinet’s enlargement.
