A total of 50,000 active members of the Nepali Congress have left the party. Over 50,000 active members of Nepali Congress did not renew their membership, according to Nepali Congress.
From September 1 to 4, the Nepali Congress will host its 14th Convention in Kathmandu. A sub-committee chaired by Ramesh Lekhak is now mainstreaming the application of active members for the elections.
The Nepali Congress granted active membership to 470000 people at its 13th conference. “However, just 420000 members sought for membership renewal,” said Pradeep Paudel, a committee member.
The bulk of members are thought to have chosen to stay at home rather than participate actively in the party activities. The membership of the Nepali Congress has already expanded by 100 percent. A considerable number of newcomers, on the other hand, have applied for membership. Over 950,000 people have applied for active membership, according to Paudel.
A large number of complaints have been lodged against the new applicants.
