Former Miss Nepal Winners (FMNW), a non-profit volunteer organization led by former Miss Nepals, has announced a scholarship program for children orphaned during the coronavirus pandemic.
The program was announced in partnership with the DM Foundations, a non-profit social organization.
“The pandemic has affected many people in various ways, with children being the most vulnerable after losing their primary caregivers,” according to a notice issued by IMS Group. “The purpose of this scholarship is to help these children continue their education and avoid dropping out.”
Previously, FMNW organized awareness campaigns against menstrual taboos, promoted environmentally friendly practices such as thrifting, and held programs for Youth Motivation and Cancer Awareness.
“With the belief that children are our country’s future and that education will help them prosper,” the press release continues. “FMNW and the DM Foundation are committed to assisting as many children as possible through the FMNW Scholarship.”
Donations can be made to the cause by scanning the QR Codes of Cellpay, Fonepay, and E-Sewa found on the IMS group’s official website.
