According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the monsoon low-pressure system is near Nepal’s Terai region.
Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti predicts that the weather will be mostly cloudy with chances of light to moderate rain in many places until Monday. She stated that there is a risk of landslides and mudslides in the hilly region, as well as a rise in water level in large and small rivers and streams, which could disrupt transportation.
In light of this situation, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has advised caution.
On Sunday, the weather will be mostly cloudy across the country, with the possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunder in some areas of the Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces, and light to moderate rain in others.
