Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has implemented stricter policies to aid in the prevention of the second wave of the corona epidemic. The central bank issued a notice on Monday stating that only ‘A’ class banks are permitted to open three branches in Kathmandu. During the lockout, it can open two branches in Lalitpur and one in Bhaktapur.
The service should be given with high vigilance while mitigating the risk of COVID-19, according to the NRB’s Department of Banking and Financial Institutions Regulation.
According to the agreement, which goes into effect on Tuesday, ‘B’ development banks will be able to open two branches in Kathmandu, one in Lalitpur and one in Bhaktapur.
Just one branch of a Class C finance company will be permitted in each of the three districts.
