At the Build 2021 conference, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella previewed a substantial Windows update that will open up economic prospects for developers and innovators. At this event, Microsoft will most likely reveal the specifics of the improvements that will be included in the next generation Windows update. It is expected to have a UI refresh and a completely new Windows app store.
On its website, the IT behemoth has announced a new event on June 24 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Microsoft has also released a message via the Windows Twitter handle stating that the event will feature everything “next for Windows.” An graphic connected to the event suggests that the Windows logo may also undergo minor changes.
Nadella stated in his keynote speech at Build 2021 that the next-generation Windows release will be the most significant in a decade. Aside from significant UI improvements and new revenue options for developers, other reported characteristics of the next-generation of Windows include new system icons, the end of Windows 95 icons, and more.
