KATHMANDU: Nepal established a Consulate General Office in Chengdu, China, on Monday.
During a ceremony, Nepal’s Ambassador to China Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and high-ranking officials from Sichuan Province jointly inaugurated the consulate office. Dinesh Chandra Ghimire is assigned to the Chengdu consulate.
Ambassador Pandey said at the inauguration that the consulate would help to strengthen Nepal and China’s centuries-old mutual understanding and trust. He expressed confidence that the opening of the consulate office would increase exchanges in all areas and improve relations even further.
Similarly, Li Yunji, vice governor of Sichuan province, stated that the consulate office would promote trade, tourism, commerce, and people-to-people contacts.
