KATHMANDU: India has described Nepal’s recent political developments as “internal problem to be dealt with by them within their own domestic framework and democratic processes.”
In response to a question about Nepal’s recent political developments, Arindam Bachhi, Spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, stated that India has taken note of the current political developments in Nepal.
“We regard these as internal Nepalese concerns to be dealt with within their own domestic framework and democratic processes,” India’s Ministry of External Affairs stated.
“As a neighbor and friend, India would continue to support Nepal and its people on their path to prosperity, peace, stability, and development,” it added.
The announcement comes five days after Prime Minister KP Oli suggested to the President that the House of Representatives be dissolved.
