The Narayangadh-Muglin road segment, which had been closed since Monday night, is now open to one-way traffic.
According to Om Prasad Adhikari, Chief of District Police Office, Chiwtan, the process of cleaning debris has been ongoing since early this morning in order to resume traffic operations. Since 9.00 a.m., one-way traffic has been resumed.
The rubble, on the other hand, continues to roll down. The landslide on the road segment has been going on for nearly a week. The road portion has been closed on multiple occasions owing to heavy rains and landslides.
The District Police Office in Chitwan has announced that debris collection has begun in various areas, including Setidobhan, as of 5.30 a.m. today in order to restore full traffic operations. Due to traffic disruptions, hundreds of vehicles have been left stuck on the road.
