Prachanda, who arrived in Janakpurdham today to pay tribute to Mahadev Yadav, a member of the CPN (Maoist Center) central committee, said the Supreme Court would issue a mandamus to make Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba Prime Minister based on 146 lawmakers’ signatures submitted to the SC.
The case of HoR dissolution is currently being considered by the SC. The case’s next hearing date has been set on July 12.
Chair Prachanda accused the Prime Minister of putting undue pressure on the Supreme Court.
On a side issue, he clarified that he is always in favor of amending the constitution, admitting that it has some flaws. He also suggested that Province No. 2 be renamed Madhesh Province.
