According to Nepali time, the mountaineering team reached the summit of Mt. Everest between 5:30 and 6:45 a.m., making them the first foreign team to conquer the world’s highest peak (8848.86m).
The expedition team, also known as the Bahrain Royal Guard, arrived in Nepal on March 15 to attempt to climb Mt. Everest.
According to the Nepalese Embassy in Bahrain, the team consists of 13 Bahrainis and three British residents.
On October 15, 2020, a team led by Prince Khalifa scaled the 8,163-meter-high peak Mt Manaslu at 6:10 a.m.
Similarly, on October 3, 2020, at 8:50 a.m., the team ascended the 6,119-meter-high Mt Lobuche for the second time this season.
According to the Nepali Embassy in Bahrain, the team is serving in the Bahrain Defense Force.
The Seven Summit Trek Company, based in Nepal, had made all of the requisite preparations for them to climb Mt. Everest.
