This is the culmination of months of rumors, spy pictures, and speculation. True, Ford is introducing a brand-new compact truck called Maverick to its portfolio.
On Tuesday, June 8, Ford will unveil a new pickup truck. It’ll be a compact pickup that’ll be smaller and less expensive than the mid-size Ranger body-on-frame truck.
It’s also likely to share powertrains with the Bronco Sport, including the Bronco Sport’s optional 250-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four. There should also be a less powerful option for the less expensive base model. All-wheel drive and front-wheel drive should both be accessible.
The Maverick is scheduled to hit the market in the United States by the end of the year.
