The top district officers of the Kathmandu ValleyR17;s three districts met today and decided to scrap the odd-even number traffic rule for public transportation. The restricted period will be extended by one week, until July 15.
The continuous prohibition order imposed to stop the spread of COVID-19 has been eased further by allowing the operating of tempos and microbuses in the Kathmandu Valley.
Long-distance passenger buses can be operated with the help of an authorization letter from the district administration office.
To combat the rise of COVID-19 instances, a prohibition order has been in effect in the Kathmandu Valley since April 30. The injunction that was previously extended is set to expire tomorrow.
