There was also a map that showed that showed Nepal as having a democracy score close to Pakistan. Do you think it is comparable to Pakistan i think it’s a better than that but maybe I’m wrong.

The map that the Economist put out is so brain dead oversimplification, that it pits China’s neighbours as either failed states or enemies. This is just blatant propaganda aimed at talking up China vs the Democracies of the World.
As for the Democracy Score map The Economist also put out, it paints certain countries as more democratic than Nepal, when they have outright anti-Democratic forces in government.
For example, how are Hungary or India more democratic than Nepal, when Hungary has gerrymandered and total control over the media for one party, whilst in India communal clashes are occuring more and more leading to the ethnic cleansing rape and murderous scenes at Manipur.
Nepal is a flawed democracy, but it is also one that came under attack as soon as it became a Republic, when India attempted to starve our people out in 2015.
And it continuely being attacked, by Indian-backed Hindu Nationalists wanting to resurrect the Monarchy. Whilst all of this goes not merely unwatched, but openly abetted by the West’s appeasement towards India.
But none of this nuance will ever be reported, as that doesn’t fit the framing of China is subjugating all its neighbours, and the West must liberate them.
Everybody wants a dictator they can agree with.
Is it not though? A terrorist is ruling our country. People and party with different ideologies makes alliances just to win election and get into power. Justice is always delayed and ignored for the poor ahem Nirmala panta. Rich people can get away with killing the poor if they have any party alliance with majority of rich guys do.
Not even close to what they have in Pakistan. They have a military state controlling political leaders and parties as puppets and keeping the public radicalized in the name of Islam. The Army calls itself as the protector of Islam and has Jihadfisabiullah(Jihad in the name of Allah) as their Army motto.
Nepal as bad a democracy it is, it is still not a military state.

Nepal does not have democracy but netas have created a fallacy for it. This website depicts many things and I can **personally** vouch score of canadian freedom against Nepal’s. Ruling class have enslaved Nepalese in the name of Republic!
Edit: went through voices like Autocracy for a few years, kingship, etc but we need to voice through elections, it is the most powerful tool to make ourselves heard!

We have a shitty democracy filled with corruption and political interfere in judicial actions but it is definitely better than that of Pakistan.
We at least have largely fair elections, rise of independent candidates and new parties wouldn’t be possible without it.
Not voting for right people or right people not running on elections is our fault as a society and voters.
