The Kathmandu District Administration Office has determined that anyone entering the district from the outside will now be required to take a coronavirus antigen examination.
Concerned municipalities in charge of district entry points, according to Parajuli, should set up a health desk for the checkup and mobilize workers to do so.
If anyone tests positive in the exam, they must take a PCR test for the virus, and only those who test negative will be able to participate.
Meanwhile, public health departments in the affected areas have been ordered to provide antigen test kits.
The DAO has ordered that all local governments in the district upgrade their isolation and quarantine centers, and that each municipality have at least one isolation and quarantine center.
The office has advised the public to postpone all public activities and, if absolutely possible, to follow the government’s health protocol.
