On Thursday, the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu Valley’s three districts—Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur—will meet to decide on a prohibitory order.
The meeting will take place today, according to Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli, but no time has been set. The current prohibitory order will expire at midnight on Thursday.
Dhundi Prasad Niraula, the Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, stated that discussions are underway to extend the order for 15 days and resume long-distance public transportation.
Currently, all types of vehicles and shops have reopened in the Kathmandu Valley, while educational institutions and theaters, among other things, have been closed.
