Starting off with the car, it the recent TATA Tiago XZ+ Tech LUX LR.

Briefly: Quiet, comfortable and absolutely crushes other cars in the price point, although LR XT is probally the best value for money model. We were looking for a lot of 2nd hand petrol cars beforehand, compared to 2016 Alto 800 (the taxi kind but with AC and all) that cost 20 lakhs, this is a goddamm deal, probally cuz of only 15% import tax compared to 250% for petrol, not a tax person just heard this is so cheap cuz of this, plux lots of fuel cost saving and less maintenance cost.

My experience: with my 2 weeks and 1 trip to chitawan with this car, here’s my thoughts. You can absolutely do 250 km with this car in full charge and even 300. I comfortably reached to chitawan with around 45% charge left, this was with low AC, idk why TATA showroom person say it can only do 200km in real world why would they make their own car look bad.

Also, lot of Indian car reviews said the build quality was bad and they had defects, this was absolutely not true in my care. I have looked at every possible at the dealership as well as after we got the car, all the panel fits nicely, and the door also closes properly, I haven’t had any problems at all.

Disadvantage: The car is absoulely quiet, so, quiet that my dad has problem figuring out if the car is on.This quiet ride is extremely comfortable but this is also a double edged sword because the problem with quiet is that people don’t get out of your way. you will have to use a lot of horns cuz people with just continue walking in the road without noticing you, and most dangerously sometime they just step toward the road because thay don’t hear you and you almost hit them. So, please be careful

It has no problem with pick up, it has done all the uphills i have faced in kathmandu and trip to chitawan and as per the dealership even the most deadliest uphills in kathmandu it can handle but you have to put it in sports mode.

Finally, the best for last, you can continuously use the AC without caring for the expensive petrol price, especially if you are a student and have to act parent for petrol money. A nepali car driving experience is opening window for cold air and closing it quickly when its dusty, so, that you don’t have to use AC and waste money, but because charging the EV at home is so cheap my parent have no problem with continously using the AC.If you have any question ask me and I will do my best to answer.
