The fact is that Nepal will never have the same relations with China as it does with India. Nepal is too culturally similar to India for that to happen. No matter what we do, we share language, religion, culture and historical ties. But it should not be zero-sum game. It’s not one or other. Why can’t we be friends with both?

yeah pakistan and srilanka both chose china. they are in massive debt to china. Enough that they had to give ownership over their land (Some port for Srilanka and Some Hydropower Project for Pakistan). Giving up that port is still causing issues between India and Srilanka. Learn what a debt trap diplomacy is. Which is what china practices with all third world democracies.
