KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has questioned how President Bidhya Devi Bhandari’s signature for Prime Minister KP Oli entered the President’s Office while he (Nepal) was with the opposition alliance.
According to reports, the UML’s disgruntled senior leader said that PM Oli’s group fabricated his signature.
Leader Nepal, who arrived at Sheetal Niwas on Friday with 149 lawmakers’ signatures to make Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba Prime Minister, questioned why his name had already appeared on another list in front of the President at Shital Niwas today.
According to sources, the President did not respond.
CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ urged the President to continue in compliance with the constitution when handing over the signatures.
The President of Nepal was also urged to exercise her fundamental rights, according to Nepal’s chief.
