Hi everyone, I am currently studying at a UK university and paying the fees through my family back home in Nepal. I asked some Nepali people here and they told me that it’s better if I pay the fees via some channel other than the Nepalese bank because of the hefty taxes and charges.
I do have an extended family here in the UK but my fees are simply too large for them to pay upfront.
So, I wanted to ask whether someone here is offering such services or knows any other helpful groups I could approach. I would appreciate any kind of effort and my DMs are always open for additional support.

Now I don’t know of they exist or not, but before there was fb group UK hundi or something. They gave good rates. i don’t know much now, but if you ask around to people in Nepali community there, they might can help.
Go to nepali grocery shops. Ask there in person.
What hefty taxes and charges? It’s a swift transfer. You are just paying around 5k in charges. FX rate of hundi will be worse than bank rate.
