Just a curiosity. Can you access tiktok throuh vpn?

So I met a lot of russian “lost generation”. The ones who left their own country when their country attacked another country.

Due to how strictly media is controlled in Russia. There is a different tiktok there. Basically they created their tiktok universe there and you need to make a russian tiktok specific account and you can only access this russian tiktok inside Russia. They could still access “world wide tiktok” but with vpn (which now I think is also getting banned).

When they moved out, they could access both tiktoks. If I remember correctly, they still need a vpn to access the russian tiktok.

\[Edit So I asked someone and it seems the russian tiktok is tied to the phone number. So you cannot access outside tiktok because of the russian number.\]
